The Kindergarten class at Rushville Elementary School hosted their parents in their classroom on May 1st, 2008. They had a May Celebration in which they celebrated all of the reading and writing skills they learned this school year. Each kindergartener read a piece of work they had written. They also acted out a play they learned while studying the author Doreen Cronin. The play was called “The Five O’Clock News” and was based off the story Click Clack Moo. To mark the end of the May celebration the kindergarteners then read another poem that they wrote as a class. This poem was based off the book You Read To Me, And I’ll Read To You.
