District patrons and supporters:
The Gordon-Rushville school district is currently in financial stress. The district has spent the cash reserve and is looking at steps to provide savings in the running of the district. Many of the options will be painful, but the district is intent that it must return to a time when receipts to the district are larger than expenses. Discussions were held with several rural attendance centers and we have heard several suggestions on how to reign in expenses. It was also suggested at these meetings that the district as a whole be approached for input on how to be more efficient financially. It is with this in mind that we ask for your input.
