Letter for Patrons November 4th, 2026 PDF

 Dear Gordon-Rushville Public Schools Patrons:

Gordon-Rushville Public Schools thanks every voter who took part in Tuesday's election, and everyone who attended a meeting, toured a building, asked a question or shared an opinion over the past several months. Voters gave a clear answer, and we respect it. We would also like to thank the numerous volunteers who dedicated many hours to educate our community about the bond proposal.

We have heard that property taxes are a serious concern for many families, farmers and ranchers in our district. We have also heard from residents who would prefer a different approach. That feedback matters, and it will be part of the conversation going forward.

The needs that led to this proposal have not gone away. Our district facilities will continue to age. Their plumbing, electrical systems, and structures will not last indefinitely, and the accessibility, inefficiency and safety concerns identified in the facility assessment remain. We will keep our buildings safe and operating while we work toward a long-term solution.

The school district will keep listening and work to find a plan that meets the needs of our students at a price the communities we serve can afford. Our Gordon-Rushville students are remarkable, and whatever comes next, they will continue to receive the very best education we can provide.

Thank you for your continued support of Gordon-Rushville Public Schools.

Sincerely,

Nathan Livingston
Superintendent
