For the month of November, staff at Gordon-Rushville Middle School observed and nominated students who display the characteristics of self-control. Each students prides his/herself on thinking before he/she acts, control his/her temper, respecting others and their belongings, sitting still and being quiet and building healthy habits. Mr Haag's classes were learning about the periodic table of elements. They had to learn the different groups in order to piece together the periodic table of elements puzzle faster.
Mr. Benitez' classes were doing presentation in Spanish class today. They had to describe the countries and the travel costs entirely in Spanish.
GRMS Student Council Annual Food Drive
The Gordon-Rushville Middle School Student Council is collecting canned or boxed food items for the annual Food Drive.
Spectators can bring an item to receive free admission to Thursday, November 16th girls' basketball games.

Results of Saturday's tournament for Unified Bowling in Scottsbluff:
We took four teams to the Scottsbluff tournament where there were seven schools total. Two of our teams made it to the gold bracket and the other two teams made the silver bracket. Team 1 ( Faith, Allan, Louis) received runner-up on the highest series score with a 170. Team 2( James, Evan, Katie) made it into the 3rd round in the gold bracket. Team 3 ( Iram, Kaden, and Roise) made it to the championship round in the silver bracket and they placed second. Team 4 ( Alice, Ashlyn, and Brandon) placed third in the sliver bracket. They all bowled their hearts out and did amazing!

Tomorrow, the high school has extended an invitation for students to go to the Veterans Day program beginning at 1:30 PM. The Gordon students will be dismissed immediately following the program between 2:30-3:00 PM. The Rushville students and athletes will be transported back to Rushville when the program ends.
